In alignment with the American Forensic Association (AFA), this course is meant to train students in public speaking and reasoned discourse in public life. In summation, students will present (9) times over the course of the semester. This course is a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) class. But when not in active BYOD mode, to avoid distractions, cell phones should not be placed on the student’s desk (or lap) and volume should be on vibrate/silent throughout the class period. Cell phones and headphones are to be put away upon entering the classroom. This course is meant to assist both the eager and unenthusiastic presenter. Discipline will prove highly impactful.
